Postgraduate Certificate in Sensory Integration

This is your core qualification if you wish to practise as a sensory integration practitioner. Postgraduate Diploma in Sensory Integration

This is your key qualification if you wish to practise as an Advanced Sensory Integration Practitioner. After successfully passing all four of the constituent modules, you will gain: SIE SI Advanced Practitioner status, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Sensory Integration accredited by the UK’s Sheffield Hallam University. Master of Science Degree in Sensory Integration

SI Module 1: Foundations and Neuroscience

SI Module 1 will provide therapists and other related professionals with the underpinning neuroscience as well as sensory integration theory and evidence base, as relevant to applying sensory processing and integration principles to their practice. See more and apply.

SI Module 2: Clinical Reasoning in Sensory Integration: Assessment

Students will learn key concepts of Ayres Sensory integration®, exploring the patterns of sensory integration dysfunction, models of SI, principles and practice of assessment, clinical reasoning, synthesising the assessment data and the process of interpretation of assessment, drawing on a range of assessment tools. SI Module 3 Clinical Reasoning and Practice in Sensory Integration: Intervention (PGCert in SI & SI Practitioner)

This module allows successful students to provide sensory integration interventions to people in a range of different settings and across the lifespan. Students will be able to negotiate and set appropriate goals, which reflect both the client's priorities and their sensory processing and integration needs. See more and apply.

SI Module 4: Advanced Practice (PGDip in SI & Advanced SI Practitioner)

This module will take clinicians forward from the interpretive skills they acquired in earlier modules, to enable clinicians to interact with advanced applied neuroscience, confidently disseminate and share their assessment and research findings with a wider audience, and be an agent of change understanding service-level system change methods. SI Module 5: Researching for Practice

This module is delivered directly by Sheffield Hallam University. It aims to provide you with an introduction to research design and methods relevant to an applied area of investigation. SI Module 6: Dissertation (MSc in SI & Advanced SI Practitioner)

This module is delivered directly by Sheffield Hallam University. It will enable you to develop a proposal and plan and conduct an in depth investigation of a topic that contributes to your professional practice. This will take the format of a critical literature review or service evaluation. It provides the opportunity to apply an understanding of research methods to the investigation and allows you to demonstrate your ability to work with relative autonomy in undertaking a sustained, in-depth piece of independent learning.
