By Sensory Integration Education, 25 July 2023

Are you ready to take the leap and become a Sensory Integration practitioner but unsure where to begin? We know navigating all the information out there can be overwhelming, but fear not! We're thrilled to introduce our Free Course that covers everything you need to know about qualifying as a SI Practitioner with Sensory Integration Education.

What to expect from the course?

This course is hosted by Stephanie and Penny, who answer the most common questions we receive about becoming a Sensory Integration Practitioner. During this course, you will grasp the details of our Postgraduate Pathway. The eligibility requirements for the training, the learning tools provided, and the benefits of studying with us will all be discussed. Additionally, the practical aspects of the PGCert, such as the duration of study, associated costs, and post-completion opportunities, will be addressed. Not to forget, you'll learn Stephanie and Penny's top 5 tips for study success.

This online course is ideal for therapists (OTs, PTs, and SLTs) who have not trained in SI but are interested in learning more about becoming a certified SI Practitioner. It is recommended that before you start, you watch our free course for therapists called "Transform Your Practice with Sensory Integration." This course will help you gain insight into the concept of SI and understand how using an SI-informed approach in your clinic can positively impact your practice.

Why is Sensory Integration Important?

Sensory processing forms the foundation for our daily functioning and greatly influences our experiences during everyday activities. If we are having difficulties processing our senses, it can affect our speech, movement, ability to complete daily tasks, and so much more! Learn more about What Sensory Integration is here.

Why is Train as a Sensory Integration Practitioner?

SI is not part of core OT, SLT or PT training. Therefore, you should undertake recognised and appropriate training to use SI as part of your work. To effectively assess individuals, it is crucial to have a qualification in sensory integration. Without the qualification, you cannot access a client's sensory processing difficulties and, therefore, cannot find solutions to support their development. As a therapist, you must consider Sensory Integration in your patients as ASI theory and practice could be the key to removing the roadblocks in your patient's development.

Equip yourself with the understanding of our PGCert, and feel confident in starting your journey to becoming a Qualified Sensory Integration Practitioner. You can also study our PGDip and MSc in Sensory Integration. Learn more here.
