Neuroscience that can be shared with colleagues and clients
Thank you so much Amy. I have left a longer and also enthusiastic review on the Lifelong Learning Platform. I really enjoyed your style and they pace and way you explained the neuroscience for what we do as therapists. I would love some more on how the vagal system also has huge impact on our nervous system health. As many of these techniques echo also what you said in terms of movements which are safe for most. The Torpor for animals I wonder in humans could this be vasovagal syncope? The whole can of worms relating to dysautonomia? So that dorsal vagal shutdown / dissociation that was mentioned in the talk similar or maybe the same as Torpor when fight , flight , freeze and fawn fail to bring the body to safety? This would be pulling on cardiac work but also that of Polyvagal Theory. I wonder if this could be why so many ND people have seizures or so called idiopathic fainting spells? Or is it also pathways of that 12 milliseconds linked to sensory inputs which hashtags trauma. Like a strong smell that causes someone to feel dizzy / faint. Please come back and talk again... thank you for incredible nuggets that I am so going to share with my colleagues and clients... I feel quite excited ! Warmest Michelle
