Research Director Doctor Sylvia Taylor-Goh

Sylvia brings academic rigour and clinical experience to her role as SIE's Research Director. Her PhD produced the Taylor-Goh Model of Clinical Reasoning, and she has worked with the Department of Health, NICE, and Sheffield Hallam University on research and clinical guidelines. A published author and practising clinician, she ensures SIE's training remains grounded in the highest professional standards.

Amy Stephens, Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Amy Stephens is a Speech and Language Therapist, a fully qualified Ayres Sensory Integration Therapist and Lecturer in ASI. Working with Deaf people with autism led her to Ayres Sensory Integration and she chooses to use, broadly, an ASI frame of reference in her Speech and Language Therapy. Amy recognises the crucial role that efficient sensory processing plays in engagement, participation and communication.
