If you have clinical experience, research insights, or a perspective on sensory processing that would resonate with a health professional audience, we would love to hear from you.
The SIE blog is read by clinicians and health professionals who are passionate about sensory integration and its role in everyday practice — from occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, and physiotherapists to play therapists, social workers, psychologists, and other allied health professionals.
What we publish
We publish blogs that help health and care professionals think more deeply about sensory integration — whether that is a clinical topic, a population group, a reflection on practice, or an exploration of emerging evidence. We are particularly interested in content that connects theory to the real world: what does this look like in a school, a clinic, a community setting, a home?
Our readers are experienced clinicians. They appreciate precision, evidence-based thinking, and content that respects their expertise.
Who we publish
We welcome contributions from anyone with relevant expertise and a genuine perspective to share. Contributors include registered health and care professionals, academics and researchers, sensory equipment suppliers and product specialists, educators, and organisations working in the sensory integration space. You do not need to be an SIE course graduate, though many of our contributors are.
What matters most is that your content is accurate, useful, and relevant to our readership. If you are not sure whether your idea is a good fit, just get in touch — we read every pitch and are happy to have a conversation.
How it works
1. Pitch your idea first.
Send us two or three sentences outlining your proposed topic and angle. We will let you know quickly — usually within a week — whether it fits with our current plans. We are happy to offer suggestions if you would like guidance on topics. Check out our current blog posts →
2. We agree on the brief together.
Once we are happy with the topic, we will share our guest blogger guidelines — a short, practical document that covers what works well on our blog.
3. You write the piece.
Most guest blogs are 800–1,200 words. We want your voice and your expertise — the guidelines are there to help, not to constrain. If you have questions while you are drafting, just drop us a line.
4. We review and publish.
SIE retains final editorial control, but we will always discuss any suggested changes with you before publication. Your name and credentials will appear on the post.
To pitch an idea
Email [email protected] with the subject line “Blog pitch” and a brief outline of your proposed topic. We will respond promptly — usually within a week.
We look forward to hearing from you.
